Billinghay: HELP WANTED!

Hello!

If you are reading this then it's likely you have found one of our Boggart Stones that we have left around Billinghay. We use them to connect with people, especially in areas we are interested in.

We are a project exploring and researching the folklore and traditions of Lincolnshire. And we have a question for those of you in Billinghay.

Can you remember hearing, or recall being told anything about Sprite Lane and the area of fenland (now fields) North West of the village which was once called "The Sprites"? We'd be particularly interested in anything a parent or grandparent may have mentioned at one time? Especially those who may have farmed or worked on the land there. Aside from the sprites we'd also love to hear any other superstitions or stories (ghostly or otherwise) from around the village if you know of any.
